Faded Spaces privacy policy

Updated September 29, 2026. Faded Spaces is a BarberTekk garden-planning service operated by Dominick Hall. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to barbertekkmedia@gmail.com.

Information used to provide the service

We use your account email, optional name, account identifier, sign-in session, time zone, and existing membership or tool-access status to authenticate you and provide the features you can access. Your account is shared with other BarberTekk tools.

When you save information, we store garden locations you enter (such as ZIP code), growing spaces, plants, dates, seed inventory, plans, reminders, journal notes, and photographs you choose to upload. We do not need GPS access to plan a garden. Avoid including people, identifying documents, or unrelated private information in garden photographs.

Garden-to-recipe suggestions use your saved crops. If you choose to log a meal in the connected Razor Sharp Flavor tools, the service also stores that meal and its nutrition information in your account. This is optional and separate from creating a garden plan.

We process support messages and deletion requests, including contact information, request status, and completion records. Servers also process network information such as IP address, browser or app version, request timing, errors, and usage records for operation, security, troubleshooting, and cost controls.

Device storage and permissions

Sign-in uses session cookies. Garden drafts and preferences may be kept in local browser or app storage; clearing that storage may erase unsaved drafts. Saved account records remain separate. The system photo chooser lets you select a photograph; on iPhone it may offer the camera only when you choose to take a photo.

The public iPhone and Android store editions do not include Ray-Ban integration, glasses-camera capture, or hands-free conversations. The separate glasses test companion requests its own permissions and analysis consent. In that test flow, selected images, your question, recent conversation context, and relevant garden context are sent for AI processing only after consent. Saving the result to your journal is a separate action.

Service providers and sharing

Service providers process information to operate the features you use: Vercel for hosting, Neon for database storage, Cloudflare R2 for uploaded files, and configured email services such as Acumbamail for tool messages. Existing payment and subscription records are managed with Stripe; these store editions do not collect payment-card details or sell upgrades.

AI-enabled features may send the content needed for your request to Anthropic, directly or through Vercel AI Gateway. Provider processing and retention are governed by the applicable service terms; we do not promise zero provider retention. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI questions. AI output can be wrong and should not establish plant edibility or replace qualified advice.

Calendar subscriptions disclose the selected calendar events to the calendar application you choose. Treat the private subscription URL as a password; rotating it invalidates the old URL. External links are governed by the destination service’s policies. Information may be processed outside your country.

Retention and deletion

Account and saved garden records are retained while you use the service, until you delete records or request deletion. We do not automatically erase seasonal garden records simply because you are inactive. Uninstalling the app does not delete server-side records.

You can initiate account deletion in the app or through the account-deletion page. Dominick Hall handles requests, verifies ownership where necessary, and aims to complete them within 30 days. A full-account request includes the shared BarberTekk account; contact support if you only want garden data removed. A request receipt is not confirmation that deletion has finished.

Deletion includes associated garden records and uploaded garden media. Limited billing, fraud-prevention, dispute, or legal records may need to be kept separately for the applicable requirement. Backup copies and service-provider records may persist for their retention windows and are not used as active garden records. Support can explain any applicable retention or exception when processing your request.

For access, correction, export, or deletion assistance, contact barbertekkmedia@gmail.com. Do not send your password. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account.
